Our Partners

OVERVIEW

Our expertise lies in creating new platforms and initiatives that bring different stakeholders—including civil society, researchers, government policy-makers, and local communities—together around common aims. In addition to partnering with agencies and academic institutions, we partner with grassroots organizations, based in key conservation landscapes, who scale up initiatives we've pioneered and provide linkages to innovative conservation approaches. We are proud to collaborate with these extraordinary funding and implementing partners, along with our affiliates below.

Science & Indigenous Knowledge

We contribute to the conservation and management of biodiversity and sustainable use of natural resources through science and indigenous knowledge to inform policy and conservation practice, support evidence-based decision-making and increase awareness amongst stakeholders.

Communities & Conservation

We support community conservation that empowers and benefits local communities, building local capacity and creating grassroots models of effective, locally-led conservation.

Policy & Practice

We influence policy and practice to promote inter-sectoral coordination, sustainable natural resource management, effective implementation and sound governance, including community empowerment and benefits from wildlife and other natural resources.

Learning Hubs & Networks

We've played a key role in establishing several impactful grassroots organizations and resource centres in Kenya, as well as the Ecotourism Society of Kenya (ESOK), now known as Ecotourism Kenya. We've also been involved in creating land-use plans and management bodies for some of Kenya's first conservancies in Kenya.
