Kenya’s National Wildlife Strategy 2030

The National Wildlife Strategy 2030 was launched on Tuesday evening 12th June 2018 by the Deputy President.
There was great attendance from both the tourism and wildlife sector and both the U.S. Ambassador Robert F. Godec (outgoing) and High Commissioner Nick Hailey were in attendance, as was John E. Scanlon the former Secretary General of CITES.
The African Conservation Centre was the co-ordinator of the strategy formulation process under the guidance of the Ministry.
The CS Hon. Najib Balala in his speech welcomed additional comments and input even as the Ministry embarks on a process to develop a detailed implementation plan with targets for activities, indicators, timelines, and clear M&E and reporting frameworks.
