Today the world commemorates Earth Day. This annual event rallies individuals, communities, institutions and nations to take action in safeguarding the future of the planet. This year’s theme is “Restore our Earth” focusing on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems. ACC joins the global event by calling for conservation interventions that involve communities in addressing climate change challenges. Local communities play an active role in restoring our earth by conserving wildlife, water resources, and their ecosystems.
