ACC and its fundraising-arm, ACC-US, were the recipient of a JRS Biodiversity Foundation Grant for the creation of a Kenyan Biodiversity Web Portal. Kenya is home to globally significant biodiversity that fortifies its economy and sustainability. Information about Kenya’s biodiversity has not been readily available to stakeholders who need it to synthesize biodiversity information and support decision-making for conservation action at local and national levels. African Conservation Centre brings together a network of collaborators to develop a web portal for biodiversity information that will increase data availability and public information access. The portal will share data from the soon to be published, Kenya National Biodiversity Atlas.

The JRS Foundation’s mission is to promote the understanding of biological diversity for the benefit and sustainability of life on earth.
